European Union, and other key countries in the global trading system; the
relationship between the global trading system and regional trading
arrangements such as NAFTA and MERCOSUR; and the future of the global trading
system after the Doha WTO ministerial in November.
Requirements
Requirements for the course are to include completion of two in-class examinations and a 10-page issue/position paper on some international trade topic. This paper should fulfill the normal requirements of a formal research/analysis paper – organization, style, documentation, etc.
